Day nine Journey

This is my Hubby’s favourite photo.
He calls it ‘My two favourite Ladies.’ This was taken in the Pyrenees on our tour zipping
across the French/Spanish border. It was
our first proper holiday together, riding across the mountains; I was navigating
and did it pretty well if I say so myself. I can’t read in a car but resting
the map on Hubby’s back as we rode was easy.
It was our last holiday for a
while as little did we know that another journey had already started; no wonder
I felt ill every morning . . .

I love this!!! Love the story and the photo and the hint of the new journey to come!! :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you. This one was a struggle. All creativey left me today- been busy and was just sharing some pics with my friend and talking about it so thought I'd write it. Glad you liked. . .I'm relieved!!! xxx
DeleteWhat a great post Lizzie.
ReplyDeleteSounds like an amazing journey but I bet the one that followed was even more wonderful for you both :)
:-)) xx
DeleteAwesome post and photo!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Hubby will be pleased you like the pic; it's his pride and joy. xxx
DeleteThat is a great pic Lizzie, lovely bike! I love riding pillion and Vince and I hope to have our own bikes and do that once our other journey (that you hinted at!) has closed! Right now we've only got one bike and have to share!
ReplyDeleteI loved the way you mentioned both journeys...both as important as each other!
You're lucky you can have your own bike. . i'll always be pillion . . too short to have my own. My feet don't touch the floor unless it's really tilted! But yes, the journey on the bike will begin again . . thinking of getting another one. x
DeleteOne journey ending, another beginning x.
ReplyDelete:-)) xx
DeleteThis sounds like the trip of a lifetime. Followed by a life-changing event! Thank you for sharing such wonderful memories!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it. I did have my reservations . . but pleased I posted this. xx
